The embodiment of the French know-how, this new adventure whets our team’s appetite. Our mission: making everyone smile, from morning to night. It is with this desire that our Carambarrés create and produce, every day, fun and indulgent products. Discretly, during their caramel break, some of our teammates even imagine our next jokes.

“No kidding! The Carambar was born here, in 1954, and has always been produced in Marcq-en-Baroeul. By the way, did you know that, if you line up all the Carambar produced every year, you can travel the earth twice! What a performance as, at the same time, our 150 employees contribute to the production of the delicious Michoko and Gom’s for a total of 10 000 tons every year”.

« Proud of its History, this chocolate factory was built almost 100 years ago, in the heart of the city of Strasbourg. Created by Poulain, it has been owned by Suchard since 1931. It is a bit like a big family settled in its territory for several generations. Implementing a process of Sustainable Development for more than 5 years, nested in the greenery, that site is a place where it is good to work.
But that factory also heads for future. Indeed, the arrival of Terry’s, our English brand, is a great opportunity to invest in modern and innovating equipments. What an incredible and rare adventure in a professional career!”

The word of the Caram'Boss

Carambar & Co is a new and young company, founded in May 2017, our collective goal being to revitalize some famous brands like Terry’s, the  legendary British Chocolate Orange, but also Carambar, Poulain, Kréma, Michoko, Vichy…  all part of the French heritage. Brands sometimes a little left aside, but all of which make us remember great childhood memories.

To succeed, we made the consistent choice to set up 2 R&D teams in Blois and St Genest and to relocate our chocolate and candy production in France. A strong presence in the  French market but also already in a dozen of countries in Europe and beyond.

More than anything else, Carambar & Co is a team of highly motivated and creative people who want to take a different approach to many major international companies, in terms of thinking and behaviour. We strive to give our employees maximum freedom: freedom to think, to speak, to decide by themselves, to take initiatives. We like to work hard while having fun (or vice versa if you prefer), not taking ourselves too seriously whilst always showing professionalism and holding ourselves to high standards. That is our “Carambar & Co attitude”!

We put respect, listening and caring on the frontline of our commitments. We claim ways of working inspired by start-ups or midsize companies, made of agility, speed of action and risk taking, assuming a right for everyone to make mistakes.
